Aveda or Bumble and Bumble?

I know that Estee Lauder owns both Aveda as well as Bumble and Bumble. I want to try one of these brands, but I don’t know which one is best. I have Wavy hair, that is fine in texture, but I have alot of it aka it is thick, and it is normal to dry. I am really interested in the Aveda Be Curly Line, and then Bumble & Bumble’s Curly line for Fine to Medium hair (which is my hair). Has anybody used these lines and if so what products from these lines and your honest opinion of these lines. I am only interested in these two lines as they both have good straightening options too. Yes, I like to straighten my hair on occasion. I have twin girls so that occasion is a rare one, but when I do I like to have it straight without frizz. So which one do you think is better? The salon by my house sells both brands, Bumble & Bumble as well Aveda. Bumble & Bumble is organic too (at least their website says they are) and then Aveda claims to be all natural! Confusing!

I use Bumble and Bumble and it works fairly well. My hair isn’t extremely curly, but it helps to control the frizzies. Aveda’s products always seem like they put environmentalism first, beauty second. I have not had a positive result with their products. (Not that it is a bad thing to put the environment first….)

I’m 21 and I have a few lines on my forehead and around my mouth – probably due to years of cigarette and cigar smoking.

yes, definitely quit smoking, it will help you. i just looked at this foundation online, and i would say don’t use it. you are only 21, and “ultra firming” makeups are for women usually over the age of 40. Plus this foundation is super moisturizing. Do you have really dry skin? if not, then definitely don’t use it. Just because you have some lines doesn’t mean you need firming benefits. Plus its probably fuller coverage. Do you need full coverage? I doubt that you do. Instead I would use a lightweight water based makeup that won’t settle into the lines. I worked in cosmetics for 6 years and I am very familiar with Lauder products. They are good, but I don’t think this foundation is right for you.

Order of application of skin care products?

As part of my evening skin care routine, I have to apply an antioxidant cream (Prevage), a retinol cream (RoC Multi-Correxion), and a lifting cream (Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Lifting Formula). In what order should I apply them? Thanks.

Prevage has to go under everything. It is a serum and serums go first because they absorb into the skin.

I wonder if you should be using RoC and Shiseido together, but they should go on top of Prevage. My guess would be to use them in the order that you listed them: first prevage, second RoC, third Shiseido.
