Primer make-up??

What is it, how does it work and where can i get some from in the uk that wont cost me a fortune? Ive heard it helps to keep make-up on, which i need as my foundation wears off and sink in or just sits on the skin! I use mac studio tech cream foundation and clarins truely matte oil free foundation.

I have bad skin – dented, lump and red scars so i need something that would help smooth that out if possible…does the primer do this?

Primer make-up is just a base that you put on before foundation to keep the make-up from getting into your pores or having it entirely disappear. It also smoothes out the skin so the make-up goes on nicer. If you have pretty good skin you could just use it instead of foundation. I really love the Sephora brand; it’s not that expensive.
