US citizens only need a passport to visit Ireland, but how long can I stay?
On the Ireland website, it says the maximum is 90 days.
“Visit/Holiday visas are granted ONLY for short term stays. The duration of stay is determined by an Immigration Officer at the Port of Entry, but will never exceed a maximum of 90 days.”
So with a passport (or Visa), what do you think are the determining factors that decide if you can stay the max 90 days? Also, is it possible to find under the table work there without too much difficulty? I don’t want a working permit.
You won’t find under the table work as a foreigner on a foreign passport.
To stay in Ireland longer than 90 days legally you need to apply for a residence permit at the Garda National Immigration Bureau or you enter the United Kingdom on your US passport initially and get leave to stay for 6 month in the UK before continuing to go to Ireland.
