how do i loosen the ball on my monroe piercing?
I am trying to unscrew the ball on my monroe piercing so i can change the barbell. it’s way too long. i know if i go to the shop i got it pierced at, they won’t change it because it’s only been three weeks and is not fully pierced. the labret stud is too long and scrapes my teeth. so, i am desperate. he used hemastats to screw it on, so it is really tight. i have tried using tweezers to hold one end, but the ball will not budge. i’ve used gloves, and i have still not have any luck. i have even tried holding the bar with needle nose pliers, but i can’t get the ball to move. does anyone know how to loosen it. i really don’t care if i destroy the barbell or ball because i have something else i plan to put in the piercing. help!
Mine did the same thing. I got my monroe pierced twice (I had to get it re-pierced). I would really suggest that you leave the longer barbell in. After just three weeks it’s really not close to being healed, it still has a lot of healing to do. I’ve had mine done for like 3 months now and it stills swells a little bit in the morning. If you get a shorter barbell now there is a chance that skin can grow back on the flat part of your barbell & then you would risk losing your piercing. They pierce you with a long barbell for a reason.
